About

Our Goal

ToArtists is a non-profit artistic association that conceives, produces, and distributes its own artistic projects in Switzerland.
We are not a support or grant-making organization for artists: instead, we develop initiatives that reflect our vision of art as a tool for reflection, dialogue, and openness.

Our mission is to create interdisciplinary artistic projects rooted in contemporary issues — whether social, ecological, philosophical, political, or cultural.
Through formats such as exhibitions, installations, performances, publications, and workshops, we seek to rethink our relationship to the world, stimulate critical thinking, and foster deep exchanges of ideas between artworks, spaces, and audiences.

A Collective and Committed Approach

ToArtists defines itself as an artistic collective structured as an association.
Each project emerges from a process of research, dialogue, and collaboration among members of the collective and invited partners.
We promote an experimental and non-hierarchical approach, allowing ideas to develop freely and artistic forms to emerge autonomously.

Our work is embedded in a transversal and transdisciplinary dynamic, blending visual arts, photography, literature, sound, design, philosophy, and performance.
We use art as a language to explore themes such as identity, memory, the human condition, our connection to the cosmos, and invisible narratives.

Our Values

  • Independent Creation:
We develop our projects based on our own artistic vision, without responding to external commissions.

  • Critical Reflection:
Our works raise questions, challenge norms, systems, and representations.
  • Interdisciplinarity:
We break down boundaries between disciplines to explore the complexity of reality more deeply.
  • Social Awareness:
Our projects address current issues related to justice, human rights, ecology, and power dynamics.

  • Dialogue with the Public:
We seek to engage viewers in an active, sensitive, and reflective relationship with our works.

Our Creative Methods

In realizing our projects, we strive for maximum freedom of expression, drawing on the full richness of available artistic tools. Our collective builds on accumulated experience — but does not confine itself to it. We remain open to experimentation, intuition, and spontaneous dialogue with matter, space, and time.

For us, a project is not merely an outcome, but a living process in which ideas evolve and take shape through the interaction of different media and perspectives.

Our works are born at the intersection of visual art and social imagination. We explore how artistic form can generate new ways of perceiving, communicating, and being present.

In this exploration, we use painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, and mixed media as an expanded language of visual thought. Each medium becomes not only a tool, but a true partner in dialogue.
